Veyla Alive Privacy Policy

Veyla Alive is a voice-controlled virtual companion. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use its features.

Information the app processes

Voice and text requests. When you choose open-ended cloud chat, the spoken audio, its transcription, or both may be sent to the AI provider selected in the app settings, such as Google Gemini, to generate a response. Local stage controls, bundled performances, local jokes and riddles, touch reactions, and supported camera features do not require an AI API key.
Camera data. The camera is used only after you choose a photo, selfie, rear-camera, or AR feature. Camera frames are used on the device to preview and create the requested photo or AR video. Photos and videos are saved to your device's media gallery. They are not uploaded by Veyla Alive unless you explicitly choose Share and select another app.
Local preferences. Character profile, preferred name, settings, reminders, and locally stored memory are kept on the device. API keys are stored using Android secure storage where available.
Optional feedback. If you choose Report Latest AI Reply, the app opens your email app with a draft addressed to wbcd@hotmail.com. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the feature you request: generating a conversation response, scheduling a reminder, displaying a camera preview, saving media, or preparing an optional feedback email. Veyla Alive does not sell personal information and does not include advertising, analytics, user accounts, or in-app purchases.

Permissions

Microphone: voice wake phrase and voice commands.
Camera: selfie, rear-camera, and AR capture.
Notifications, alarms, vibration, and boot completed: scheduled reminders, where Android permits them.
Media projection foreground service: recording an AR video after Android shows its system capture consent dialog.

You can deny or revoke permissions in Android Settings. Features that need a denied permission will be unavailable.

Data retention and deletion

Use Clear Local Memory in app settings to remove stored character memory and reminders. You can delete saved photos and videos in your device gallery. Uninstalling the app removes app-private settings and locally stored data; media already saved to the gallery remains until you delete it.

AI providers process requests under their own privacy terms. Review the provider you select in Settings before entering an API key or sending a cloud request.

Children

Veyla Alive is not directed to children. Do not use the app to submit personal information about children.
